like Holmes to Pitt and Carp to Dallas... but after that, both team kinda let me down

I know he had a bad senior bowl because he dropped passes and thus why he slid. But you dont break the PAC-10 (a pass-happy league as it is) all-time record in receptions by dropping balls.

6'1", 4.45, 37" vert...man Im all over that in the third round.

Im a slight bit concerned because OLB has not been addressed (ffs there was a serious run on them.) I truly thought that would be addressed before the secondary just because of the safeties and the CBs that were signed during FA.

I cant knock the Jason Allen pick (should be an excellent hard hitting safety)...but I see alot more capable DB/S left on the board while OLBs are seriously picked over. *I* thought OLB was a more pressing need for the Fins.

That being said....if Gabe Watson is still available in the 4th for us...I want him as a NT. Thats a huge run-stopping body (6'4" 340) that can plug holes that I believe Saban can motivate. We need a 'Ted Washington-type' NT and he's got the frame to do it.

Dallas especially... they took a TE which wasn't really a need (Jones is now saying they plan to run 2 TE offense)
then they took a DE? ummm... we have TOO MANY DEs as it is (Ellis wanted to be traded etc). Not only that, but it's a guy nobody knows... lovely

all that while Ko Simpson is still on the board (to fill the FS hole... yeah Coleman is there, but he's a 1 yr stopgap), or even Gabe Watson or Orien Harris to backup Ferguson (who underachieved and might only be around for 1 more year if he doesn't return to form). After Ferg, they have NOTHING at DT (Pepper Johnson 2 - an undrafted FA from last year is the only other one now that Glover is gone)

grrrrrrrrr... not too happy with those picks - they better make a move up in the 4th to try to grab one of those doods I mentioned... they have needs and there are good folks there.

Pitt got another hard hitting S... ok I can see that... then a WR return specialist in the 3rd? probly a bit of a reach, but I guess you have that luxury when you don't have many holes to fill.

I now retract my consternation of them giving up too much to move up for Holmes... I still don't *like* it, but since they were able to recoup a bit with another trade, I guess it's a wash. They now have plenty of ammo to move up near the top of the 4th as well if they see someone they like.

Its like Earnest Shazor last year. Projected in the second round and went completely undrafted.

Hell at this point with only one 4th rounder and 3 7th rounders left, it looks like signing Peter Boulware for a year might not be a bad idea.

He was very happy with Huff but wanted that OLB. He was sitting there basically chanting over his wings that Demeco would fall. lol
