yeah. in access, I could probably do it, if there was a way to import format settings lol.

have a spreadsheet with a few thousand rows. about half (or some large percentage of them) have a yellow background. I need to figure out a way to find out exactly how many have the yellow background.

anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to do this?

hrmm probably a way to use VBA to cycle through the records and check the format settings, then increment a counter variable...
