as long as you allow him to watch it and don't plan errands at the same time that he has to go with you for... things will be fine
now, if you're asking so that YOU will get more enjoyment out of it, then ask him during the games BUT wait until the next commercial so that you're not interrupting the game
if you want to score some points this weekend say "Mel Kiper's an idiot... I mean... Lawrence Phillips? pleeeeze!"
or say "why would they take HIM? he was obviously the product of the scheme they ran at his college... he'll never be able to make the transition... just another Eric Crouch."

I wouldn't recommend speaking a word about football unless you can backup your opinion though.
