basically MLBAM is trying to say the stats, names etc. are all protected and CDM does not have the right to profit from them for their fantasy games (MLB, NFL, NHL, Golf, etc.)
Basically the Fantasy games are growing at such a rate that they want a piece of the pie and/or they want to cut out the third party altogether and run the deal themselves. They are going after CDM because they are one of the mose prominent fantasy game providers (love their FFL leagues.)
In other words, think about FHL without the use of the stats or the players' names. Hehe no fantasy games.
They face an uphill battle tho because the NBA already tried to do basically the same thing with STATS, inc....and lost.
