power won't register.

it takes AAA batteries (included). however, the power doesn't go on and the power LED doesn't light up, even when i try different batteries.

ugh. dont they inspect/test these things before they package them up?

at first i thought maybe it was the headphone jack. sure enough, if i twisted the adapter up i could get audio in both ears. ok well i've been having problems with that jack on my laptop for a while.

so i plug it into my other computer. same problem. i've NEVER had problems with that jack before. to get any audio i have to physically push the adapter upward in the jack. wtf?
