Solution: Live in the 21st century and don't write checks. checks are for old ladies.

Have it show your actual balance, and then a balance on the side based on stuff that you enter, but the bank has not received yet.

Seems like every place I write a check to these days (and I hate writing checks) holds them forever before depositing them, so like a month later a bunch of money disappears from my account and I forget about it.
