let's say you are in charge of assigning people to tasks, such as a substitute teacher to cover for someone.
you want a list of all of the subs that you use and then you want to be able to tag them with attributes (qualified for math, capable of covering PE, etc.), and then also keep track of when they are available or when they are already assigned.
then if a need comes up for a sub you can type in the period of hte class and it will list all subs available based on their schedule and possibly rank them accordign to their other attributes
