Definately go with the AMD64 X2.

It is without the processor or video card(s).

I have not decided on AMD Athlon64 FX57 or AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 (most likely)

The video cards might be 2x GeForce 7900 GT in a SLI configuration. Dunno yet.

I guess I have a hard time seeing why the 4800 is priced so high yet it doesn't outperform the predecessors like the FX57 does.
