they are strong in employee/worker rights, and looks like they will take to the streets to keep it that way.
in california, the anti-smoking brigade went through employee/worker rights as the way to get smoking banned in establishments. yes, you choose to work at a place, but apparently it's not a fair choice if you work in a bar and don't want the second-hand smoke.
but what about france? they are strong on worker rights AND they smoke like chimneys and are unapologetic about it. i wonder how that little short circuit plays out
