so... the print server takes up one spot on my ethernet hub? 4 port hub would give me 2 pcs, cable connection,and printer?

So rather than your printer connecting to your computer with the only USB slot and then sharing it to other computers (so the main computer must be on to use the printer), all computers on the network can print at any given time. I have a parallel port print server plugged into my laser printer so all 3 computers on my home network can print at any given time. it's great :)

I rambled a little, so if I confused you let me know...hehe.

(it's just a little box), and then that would plug into the router.

Now the other one I just mentioned at CompUSA has a built in USB print server, so I think it would be USB plug from printer into router, then it still has 4 LAN ports left on the router.
