oh but generally speaking, consumables like armor kits to gloves/boots, they use the least amount of resources

like at which rank should I be making what tailoring or alchemy or blacksmithing items, etc?

Just wondering if there is a "best path" to raising skill that someone has already figured out.

So make the orange items that you can get the materials cheapest for. If you have two items in your recipe list that are both "orange" in difficulty, then you will get the same amount of skill growth from them.

does that mean that for 30 bolts I'll geet 10 skill points for the orange, or I can get (15 x .8) = 12 skill for yellows then. Ok, if that 80% is true then it should be easy enough to calculate at any given time.

Still make me wonder if there is a guide if only to be able to tell that there is a better recipe out there that I just don't have yet or something. :) Thanks for the info though...

Allakhazams has good profession guides. General rule is to do orange stuff obviously unless the mats are too heavy....yellow is ideal even close to the point that it is about to go green.

also keep an eye on the items you make. like when you make the lowest healing potions, the next one up uses the lowest potion in addition to an herb to create. there are some leatherworking recipes like that as well, I believe it is black leather belt that requires fine leather belt as part of recipe
