So, I played in the big Magic tournament in San Antonio this weekend. First big event ever. We finished in the top 1/2 (which doesn't mean anything really) and had a LOT of fun playing and mostly losing (our team went 4-5). (eBolters)

In one round I was playing against Josh Utter-Leyton who is apparently a badass player who just won the Vancouver GP. I beat him. Even though he was trying to be all intimidating with his cards in Japanese. I told him to just tell me the names of the cards and I'd be ok (he offered to call a judge over to give me a translation when I asked what the first one he played was). Then I kicked his ass quickly and got to watch the rest of his team win against the rest of mine, netting a win for them. But I still beat a pro player in my first GP. So, yay.

looked really cool, we never did get into M:TG but finally started DnDing

We used to DnD but I've just been too busy to dedicate that huge chunk of time regularly to it.

Plus our latest dm has two toddlers so playing is distracted at best.
